What a splendid morning indeed. It was more like a breath of fresh air. After a long and exhausting evening, Iris and I, in a matter of earnest delight, had decided to stay home from church. I knew Iris was exhausted. She didn’t need to utter a word. We usually scheduled our early morning walks prior to church every Sunday, but on this particular wet and rainy morning, that realization was far too gone—at least for the time being. Iris soon was sent back into a strong slumber while I lied there typing the very first newsletter of Learning All Day. Upon waking, I showed Iris the first draft of my now first newsletter: she was beyond thrilled for this new endeavor of mine and presented accolades for this accomplishment. I was bashful to say the least, but my admiration for her honesty proved simply sincere love.
Today, March 17, 2024, marks the wedding day of Joseph Johnson and Jaida Thomas("Johnson"). What ensued that afternoon was a whirlwind of significant proportions: rain, rain and more rain. Despite the forecast suggesting manageability at times, the atmosphere had entirely different plans. Every family member, friend and colleague pitched in to make sure this event was a memorable moment for the two most important people in that place. The schedule had its ups and downs, but that didn't deter the wedding. And, if I may add, not even the rain could stop it. All I can say is that Joseph and Jaida were soaked but deeply in love. Two families joined into a oneness of love and friendship forever. After a delightful meal, some tear-jerking speeches, and tons of unforgettable dancing with Lucas, this day will forever be cherished for the love that brought it to life.

A Piece of Science
“At a wedding, the hormone oxytocin, often associated with bonding and empathy, tends to surge in the bride, groom, and their close family members. This increase in oxytocin could explain the emotional connections reinforced during weddings, potentially enhancing familial bonds and emotional support systems, possibly aiding in future child-rearing. The findings from a unique wedding experiment suggest that public ceremonies might play a significant role in human social dynamics by leveraging natural hormonal responses to strengthen community ties.” (Source)
A Piece of History
“The tradition of wearing white wedding dresses became popular after Britain's Queen Victoria wore a light-colored satin gown for her royal wedding to Prince Albert in 1840. This choice was widely mimicked by brides who wanted to emulate the royal look, associating the color with purity and virginity in Victorian culture. However, the dress was actually champagne-colored, not pure white. This tradition has led to white being the exclusive color for brides in Western weddings.” (Source)
