“Grocery shopping.”
One of my fondest childhood memories is accompanying my mother on grocery shopping trips. I cherished the chance to select those 'cool' items that could only be discovered by browsing the aisles in person. While that wasn't the sole reason for my enthusiasm, it was certainly a highlight. Tagging along with my mother on her errands was something I always looked forward to, so grocery shopping became just another routine task in our day. Looking back, the 'tech' section of the store was always top of mind as soon as we stepped inside. I would eagerly ask my mom and make a beeline for that section, hoping to find something new and exciting for my entertainment. The early 2000s and 2010s were an exhilarating time for technology, with social media not yet dominating our lives as it does today. Perhaps that's why Millennials often feel a sense of nostalgia about places like Costco – they harken back to the 'good old days' when we could wander and explore without the constant distraction of social media. Since then, I've continued to relish every grocery shopping excursion.
“Pure imagination.”
Yesterday, nestled up and cozy on the couch, Iris and I watched the new film, Wonka, starring Timothée Chalamet. It reminded me of the importance of imagination and intuition, qualities we often neglect. In a world where social media often stifles creativity, movies, books, and words have the power to transport us into realms of pure imagination. Whether diving into the pages of a book for an adventure, swaying to the melodies of a beautiful piano concerto, or getting lost in the magic of a film, pure imagination knows no bounds. It may seem silly, but silliness is only a barrier when we allow it to be.
In the realm of pure imagination, one can step through a wardrobe into the enchanting land of Narnia, tumble down a well and emerge in the medieval English countryside at King Arthur’s Court, or follow a rabbit down a hole into the whimsical world of Wonderland. All it takes is a spark of imagination, and the possibilities become endless. You'll soon realize that imagination knows no bounds and that every idea, no matter how small, can lead you to extraordinary places: all you have to do is begin. Where will your imagination take you next?
“A grand redemption.”
Last night, I finally watched a film that had been on my watchlist for years: The Shawshank Redemption, starring Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman. Adapted from Stephen King’s novella, Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption, the film tells the story of two convicts who form a friendship and seek consolation and redemption through basic compassion.
As the credits rolled, I found myself immersed in a state of utter bliss. The friendship portrayed in the film ignited a sense of jealousy within me, if I'm honest. The story, however, was simply perfect in every respect. It dared to challenge the notion of "perfection" itself, with its profound character development, honesty about life's hardest lessons, and an unexpected story arc that left me shocked yet genuinely joyous at its conclusion. I couldn't help but marvel at what beautiful writing could achieve with a story like this.
The Shawshank Redemption is a masterpiece of skillful storytelling, boasting a unique cast and an unbeatable storyline.

A Piece of Science
“Quantum entanglement might seem complex, but at its core, it involves situations where the state of one system cannot be described independently of another. This concept is not exclusive to quantum mechanics but can also be seen in classical systems. Entanglement arises when knowledge about one system gives us information about another, demonstrating a deep connection between them.” (Source)
A Piece of History
“The Boston Tea Party in 1773 was a pivotal moment in American history, leading to the Revolutionary War and ultimately the independence of the United States from British rule. This act of defiance against the British government's tax policies rallied American colonists and set the stage for the formation of a new nation based on democratic ideals.” (Source)
